The Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris

In Paris, has just opened the Louis Vuitton Foundation in the Bois de Boulogne, in a building designed by the American architect Frank Gehry, which is a new center of artistic creativity in contemporary French and international level.

L ‘building the Foundation Louis Vuitton, built by Bernard Arnault, is a veritable cloud of glass, and fits perfectly in the scenario of the “Jardin d’acclimation,” the garden of exotic species that is found in the northern part of the Bois de Boulogne.

the Louis Vuitton Foundation aims to support and promote the creativity of contemporary art in Paris and at an international audience. His collection and its programming are inserted in the line of historical and artistic movements of the twentieth and twenty-first century.

The new building includes exhibition galleries devoted to the permanent collections, temporary exhibitions and art installations, and is completed by a modular auditorium designed to accommodate multi-disciplinary events. From the terraces you can enjoy spectacular views of Paris and unpublished, and the green of the Jardin d’Acclimation in which Frank Gehry was inspired to create the architecture of glass and transparency.

As part of the programming art opening for the fall, the Foundation Louis Vuitton will present an exhibition dedicated to the architectural design of Frank Gehry. An exhibition in tune with the first retrospective European Centre Pompidou will dedicate the work of Gehry, from October 2014.

Foundation Louis Vuitton is a cultural event dedicated to private and artists and is a new stage of patronage for the arts and culture carried out by LVMH in France and the rest of the world for over twenty years.
