Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) hosted its third annual fundraising auction gala last night, raising nearly $45 million. The funds will support the foundation’s mission of protecting the earth and all of its inhabitants from climate change and the environmental crises it has created.
The event was hosted in Saint Tropez, where many of the foundation’s donors and guests are already located during the third week of July, by LDF Founder and Chairman Leonardo DiCaprio, LDF Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby who created the concept for the evening, LDF Chief Executive Officer Terry Tamminen and LDF Executive Director Justin Winters, with the generous support of Julius Baer and Chopard.
