Rebecca Rütten is a German photographer who has reinterpreted the classic painting of the late Renaissance, placing at center stage products sold by American fast food.
the collection, dubbed “Contemporary Pieces”, is the way chosen by the artist to criticize the junk food.
“I like – Rebecca explains on its website (rebeccarutten.com) – that my friends in the pictures they have on tattoos or piercings, because it emphasizes the fact that were born in the modern era, having grown up in America for change, one that is often called fast food culture. “
the five portraits and five nature death 50×70 cm have been added, as well as foods “junk” objects of common use; so the works “contain a very specific sense of humor.”
