CHAGALL. Sogno di una notte d’estate

The extraordinary exhibition-spectacle devoted to Marc Chagall is coming to Italy for the first time. It is a brand new artistic experience, an exciting mix of spectacle, theatre, music, technology and art.

Nothing like the immersive exhibitions we have already seen in Italy. We’re not talking about the usual projected images here, but the skilful direction by Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi of a show that involves, sweeps away and excites the visitor, with the original musical score by Luca Longobardi. The exhibition-spectacle takes the form of a journey covering Chagall’s career and life. It unfolds in 12 stages: Vitebsk, the small Russian village where Chagall was born; His Life; The Poetry; The Collages; The War; The Stained Glass Windows; L’Opéra Garnier; Daphnis and Chloé; The Mosaics; The Circus, The Illustrations for the Fables of La Fontaine; The Bible. This new way of appreciating the artist’s oeuvre will enable the audience to perceive the great depth and expressive richness of Chagall’s dream world.

With the patronage of Milan City Council, the exhibition CHAGALL. Sogno di una notte d’estate is promoted by the Museo della Permanente in Milan and produced in Italy by Arthemisia and Sensorial Art Experience.

In France the exhibition was produced by CultureEspaces and staged at Carrières de Lumière – the only place where this project has been staged before now – the exhibition had aver 500,000 visitors.
