Avocado, The king of berries

Originating from Mexico, the avocado is considered a fruit by many. In fact, it’s a giant berry with excellent nutritional properties and benefits for the human body: it slows down cell aging, helps fight cholestorol deposits thanks to a high linoleic and omega-3 fatty acid content, functions as an anti-inflammatory and even serves as an optimal skin treatment. The only counterindication for the avocado is its elevated calorie count, making it unadvisable for anyone trying to lose weight. Gastronomically, it’s a versatile ingredient that lends itself very well to both summer and winter dishes. It can be used as an alternative to butter or margarine in the preparation of yeast doughs and desserts. It’s an excellent hydration treatment for both facial and body skin: just massage the area in question with the inner part of the skin, which is rich in oils, letting it sit for about 10 minutes, then remove this 100% natural cold cream, first with warm water, then cold. You’ll be amazed at the results!

Avocado cream with cocoa is quick and easy dessert. It’s versatile and can be served at the end of a meal, with langues du chat cookies, or as a snack, spread on toasted bread. 

– 1 ripe avocado

– 70 g organic agave syrup

– 100 g unsweetened soy milk

– 10 g bitter cocoa

– 1 tsp powdered vanilla

Peel the avocado, remove the pit and cut flesh into cubes. Put all the ingredients in a blender, one at a time, until reaching the desired consistency. Use the soy milk to increase the creaminess. Serve as you would a pudding, with a spoon, chilled in summer and room temperature in winter.
